InnoTrans 2014
iulie 28, 2014InnoTrans 2014 – 23 to 26 September – Fair Berlin – Hall 8.2, Booth 220
Bossard Group presents its "Light & Lean" portfolio for lightweight construction and a world novelty in the field of logistics systems
More savvy in lightweight construction
The Swiss Bossard Group will be appearing at the Innotrans 2014 fair under the slogan “Light & Lean”. The complete provider for fastening- and assembly technology will be presenting sophisticated mounting solutions for lightweight construction as well as services for leaner production processes. In addition the future-oriented Bossard SmartBin logistics system will be displayed, together with the world premiere of SmartLabel. The presentation at Speakers' Corner on 23 September on the topic "Light & Lean:" Innovative fastening technology and logistics solutions for the traffic engineering" completes our appearance at the fair. The complete portfolio, including the services of KVT Fastening which was acquired at the end of 2012, will be presented in Hall 8.2 at Stand 220 in trade talks, videos and showcases.
Light: Product solutions optimized for lightweight construction
Lightweight construction materials such as carbon, aluminum, optical fibers, etc. are trendsetters in the industries, but they also present a special challenge for fastening systems. Particularly suitable for use in railway technologies are our product lines, Bossard ecosyn, as well as leading brands such as bigHead, Huck, Nord-Lock, PEM and Southco. Because they save costs already during assembly, increase reliability and safety during operation and, moreover, significantly reduce maintenance costs. The components of the Bossard Group are mainly used for in the interior, in the cockpit and for the seats.
In particular, the bigHead solutions are recommended whenever traditional fasteners are pushing the borders or it depends on weight-optimized production. Currently the bigHead range from the Bossard group comprises 400 standard versions. More will be presented for the first time to the trade at InnoTrans.
Lean: Automatic material management with Bossard SmartBin flex
Another trade fair highlight is the Bossard SmartBin flex logistics system. It is used for automatic material management with C-parts in storage, the production line and directly at the workplace. Stock monitoring, ordering and stockpiling is done here with weighing systems. Therefore, Bossard SmartBin flex is suitable especially for companies with standardized production processes. These profit from a reduction of their procurement and storage costs, the reduction of the costs for monitoring stocks and a generally lower rate of tied capital in this field. Within this product segment the Bossard Group is also presenting a world first, SmartLabel. Repeat orders can now also be placed directly at the place of consumption, using the intelligent label that displays product- and ordering information.
Future-oriented: „Bossard Next Generation“
With its Next Generation concept, the Bossard Group presents its solution for the future redesign of processes in the field of fastening technologies. Generally speaking, it aims to reduce the cycle times and cut production costs through permanent improvements and accelerated innovation cycles. This means an increase in flexibility and higher productivity for companies. Bossard Next Generation analyzes production processes through value stream mapping, identifies optimization potentials and combines them with thorough technical knowledge and the Bossard Group's tried and tested tools and solutions.
Keynote on the subject of „Light & Lean: Innovative fastening and logistic solutions for the Transport Technology“
Within the framework of a presentation with practical contributions by bigHead and Stadler rail AG, the Bossard Group will be presenting sophisticated fastening solutions for lightweight construction and services for leaner production processes in the transport sector. Matthew Stevens offers a glimpse into the diverse solutions that have been implemented with bigHead fastening technologies. The example of Stadler rail AG shows impressively how processes there were able to be sustainably optimized thanks to an intelligent logistics system. The one-hour presentation will be from 13:30 in English at Speakers´ Corner (Hall 15.2, east entrance).
Progress jointly with „Proven Productivity“
Bossard analyzes ways and means to optimize costs, reduce cycle times and constantly exceed the quality standards of the products used along the entire value chain in the industrial manufacturing technology. This holistic approach is known at Bossard's as "Proven Productivity".
Full-range offer in fastening and assembly technologies
The Bossard Group offers its customers comprehensive support in three strategic core areas: Starting with the evaluation of the best fastening part for a particular application scenario, via application engineering to accompany the development of the product, up to the introduction of customer logistics which aims at reducing or even eliminating procurement costs along the entire supply chain.
