FASTEKS® – Blind Rivets

FASTEKS® blind rivet has different types, different combinations of materials, head shapes and diameters that offers the appropriate rivet for various applications. Bossard FASTEKS® standard blind rivets can be installed in blind holes, non-circular holes or large tolerance holes. High-strength blind rivets are for applications which need to withstand high loads and / or strong vibrations. The break stem can be mechanically locked into the body of the rivet during installation, which prevents them from falling out, even in high vibration applications. This locking feature also provides very high shear and tensile strengths.

Features:

  • Wide selection of products
  • Fast and easy assembly
  • Possible for permanent fastening
  • Documented high quality control by Bossard laboratories

  • Standard Blind Rivets (Open End)
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivet standard

As the most commonly used blind rivet, standard blind rivets are the economic solution with a wide range of applications.

Fasteks blind rivets standard
  • Head styles: Dome head, Countersunk head, large head
  • Material:
    • Body: Aluminum, Stainless steel A2, A4, Copper
    • Mandrel: Steel, Stainless steel A2, A4
  • Size range: Ø2.4-6.4 mm (3/32-1/4”)

  • Multigrip Rivets
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets multigrip

With a large grip range, the Multigrip rivet has greater clamping area, which can replace up to three standard rivets.  The break stem can be enclosed in the body firmly and securely. They are very practical compensation for wider hole tolerances.

Fasteks blind rivets multigrip
  • Head style: dome head, countersunk head, large head
  • Material:
    • Body: Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel A2
    • Mandrel: Steel, Stainless Steel A2
  • Size range: Ø3.2-4.8 mm (1/8-3/16”)

  • Close End Rivets
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets close end

Close end rivets offer air, water, and dust-tight fastenings. The breakstem is captive.

Fasteks blind rivets close end
  • Head style: Dome head, countersunk head, large head
  • Material:
    • Body: Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel A2, Copper
    • Mandrel: Steel, Stainless Steel C1, A2, Aluminum
  • Size range: Ø 3.2-6.4 mm (1/8-1/4”)

  • Peel Rivets
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets peel

The blind side of a peel rivet is divided into four parts which deform and bite into the mating surface. This brings a larger seating area and high clamping strength ideal for installation into soft and porous components such as wood, hard fibre and plasterboard. They also compensate well for drilled hole tolerance.

Fasteks blind rivets peel
  • Head style: Dome head
  • Material: Body—Aluminum / Mandrel – Steel
  • Size range: Ø3.2-4.8 mm (1/8-3/16”)

  • Grooved Rivets
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets grooved

Used in blind holes, the grooved rivet body can work itself perfectly into the mating material and offer a reliable riveting result in soft metallic and non-metallic materials.

Fasteks blind rivets grooved
  • Head style: Dome head
  • Material: Body—Aluminum / Mandrel – Steel
  • Size range: Ø3.2-4.8 mm (1/8-3/16”)

  • F-Bulb/F-Nox Rivets
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets F-Bulb/F-Nox

These two types of FASTEKS® blind rivets have firmly secured breakstems, which strongly resist vibration, as well as a large closing head, which provides a large bearing surface.  Water-proof and Corrosion resistant (F-Nox) make these ideal for the marine industry.

Fasteks blind rivets F-Bulb/F-Nox
  • Head style: Dome head
  • Material: Body & Mandrel -- Steel, Stainless Steel A2
  • Size range: Ø3.2-4.8 mm (1/8-3/16”)

  • F-Lock Rivets
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets F-lock

Another mechanical locking rivet is designed to lock in the rivet body when the breakstem snaps flush on the rivet head. Therefore, it can achieve very high resistance to vibration, as well as high shear and tensile strength, with large clamping area.

Fasteks blind rivets F-lock
  • Head style: Dome head, Countersunk head
  • Material: Body / Mandrel -- Aluminum / Aluminum, Steel / Steel
  • Size range: Ø4.8-6.4 mm (3/16-1/4”)

  • F-Bolt Rivet
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets F-Bolt

F-bolt rivets use the same design principle for mechanical locking as F-Lock, but F-Bolt’s locking can be confirmed visually from the head side. The F-Bolt has very high vibration resistance, high shear, and tensile strength, and a large clamping area.

Fasteks blind rivets F-Bolt
  • Head: Dome head, Countersunk head
  • Material: Body / Mandrel -- Steel / Steel, Stainless Steel A2 / Stainless Steel A2
  • Size range: Ø4.8-6.4 mm (3/16-1/4”)

  • F-Hem Rivet
  • Features
Fasteks blind rivets F-Hem

With a closed head and a large bearing surface, F-Hem rivet is suitable for thin sheet metal.
It can also compensate for a wide drilled hole tolerance. The flush riveting mandrel offers very high shear strength and tensile strength.  The locked breakstem brings very high vibration resistance.

Fasteks blind rivets F-Hem
  • Head style: Dome head
  • Material: Body / Mandrel: Steel / Steel, Stainless Steel A2 / Stainless Steel A2
  • Size range: Ø4.8-6.4 mm (3/16-1/4”)
